One weekly update can keep an artist’s copy current
A five-minute weekly update can add confirmed events to an artist timeline and give future captions useful context.

The short answer
Once a week, write one plain sentence about what changed for the artist. Studio’s “What’s new?” flow can extract proposed dated events from that sentence, show them for confirmation, and add the approved events to the timeline. The weekly note is a source of truth, not a command to post everything.
A five-minute routine
First, collect the real change: a session finished, a show played, a collaboration confirmed, or a release date moved. Use exact dates where possible. Second, enter the update. Third, inspect every proposed event before saving. Correct a location, remove an unapproved private detail, and decline anything the extraction inferred rather than found. Fourth, generate or revise only the copy that still belongs to the current moment.
An example note might say: “Played Berlin on Friday; the next single is scheduled for 17 October.” The producer should confirm the event dates and the public status of both facts. If the single date is tentative, do not save it as an announced release. A believable artist life comes from a traceable sequence of choices, not from filling gaps with plausible fiction.
Why this helps
Musician social-media research has examined how interactions and perceived relationships shape fan behavior, but it does not show that posting more personal detail automatically builds trust. The editorial lesson is narrower: a current, specific story gives a caption something to say beyond “new music soon.” Choose details that belong to the artist’s public boundary.
Choose details that belong in public
Studio also displays how long it has been since a timeline update. That cue can make maintenance routine. It should not become a pressure to invent a weekly milestone. “Nothing to announce; working on the next track” can be true and useful.

Keep the artist current with one weekly note.
Add one confirmed weekly update, review its proposed events, and generate a caption that uses only approved context.
Keep the artist currentFrequently asked
Questions, answered.
- Does Studio save a weekly note immediately?
- No. The What’s new? flow proposes dated events for the producer to confirm before saving.
- Should I add an event when nothing happened?
- No. A truthful work-in-progress update is more useful than an invented milestone.
