Deezer says more than half of new uploads are fully AI-generated
What Deezer reported about AI music volume, streams, fraud, and why independent artists should compete on identity instead of output volume.

The short answer
Deezer reported that fully AI-generated tracks were more than 50% of daily new uploads in June 2026, around 90,000 per day, but only 1 to 3% of streams. Its data suggests that volume is not the same as audience demand. The practical response is identity, selection, and provenance, not more undifferentiated uploads.
What Deezer reported
In July 2026, Deezer reported June data showing fully AI-generated tracks above 50% of daily new uploads, about 90,000 tracks per day. The same announcement says those tracks accounted for only 1 to 3% of streams. It also says up to 85% of streams on fully AI tracks were fraudulent in 2025.
Deezer further reported that it detected and tagged 13.4 million AI tracks in 2025, excludes AI tracks from algorithmic and editorial recommendations, and removes fraud-linked tracks plus AI tracks unstreamed for more than six months.
Read the numbers carefully
This is platform-owned data about Deezer, not a universal law about every audience. Still, the contrast is useful. Upload supply can explode while listening remains concentrated. A song does not earn attention because more files exist around it.
Identity beats volume
For an AI-assisted artist, the strategic answer is not to publish a larger pile. It is to make fewer decisions more deliberately: choose the strongest song, name the visual world, keep credits and provenance, and create assets that tell the same story across formats.
How this changes visual production
Visuals cannot rescue a weak or spammy release, but they can make a real release easier to recognize. Artwork, lyric motion, video, and captions should show why this song exists and how it differs from the anonymous upload stream.
Connect the work
Go deeper before the next release decision.
More output is not more audience
Make one release recognizable enough to deserve repetition.
Bring a finished track into Studio, build a coherent visual world, and create the artwork, video moments, and copy that help one song carry more meaning.

Questions, answered.
- Did Deezer say AI tracks get most streams?
- No. Deezer reported that fully AI-generated tracks were more than half of daily new uploads but only 1 to 3% of streams.
- What should AI-assisted artists do with this information?
- Use it as a warning against volume-only release behavior. Focus on identity, selection, credits, and coherent campaign assets.
